I can’t believe It’s already March! February just flew by in no time. Maybe it’s because it was only 28 days instead of the basic 30 or 31. I don’t know. Nevertheless, it’s the beginning of the month and that means I need to do a resolution update.
Planning out healthy meals:
I did not do this one at all. Meal planning for me is a chore. I don’t like it. Even making my lunch is annoying to me. To make this chore easier, I will pick 2 breakfast meals, 2 lunch meals, and 2 dinner meals. Instead of planning the whole week, I’ll just do 2 types of meals for the week.
Exercise 4 days a week:
I didn’t exercise 4 days, BUT I have exercised roughly 2 days a week. February was a little rough due to being sick and super busy with work. I usually workout Tuesday and Thursday mornings. I want to workout on the weekends too. That’s been a bit difficult with my laziness.
To make this easier, I’ll do a simpler exercise on Sunday like yoga or something like that. It’s getting warmer, so I might swim on Saturdays. It’s good to have some fun exercise days. Maybe I won’t be so lazy then. 😊
Waking up at 7:30:
I woke up at 7:30 today and the last couple of days. However, I’ve been slacking really hard on the whole of February. I woke up at 7 a couple of times while I was sick. I don’t know why, because I also slept until around 12:30 another day that I was sick. I don’t really know what was going on with my body. I just knew it wasn’t right due to my stuffy nose and sore throat. I needed some extra sleep!
For anyone that wants to get up earlier, I would suggest setting your alarm a bit earlier every morning until you get to where you want to be. For me, I’ve just been waking up when I want to, so I don’t think I need to do that.
Doing something “off-routine”:
This whole reason I wanted to do this was because I was tired of the only time I was getting out of the house was because of work. Plus, I like to try new things. However, when I get home from work at around 7:30, I don’t really feel like doing anything. This means, I only do things on the weekends. There isn’t much routine on the weekends except for church on Sundays. So, every Saturday there is something off routine. That means that I am doing a great job at this resolution!
Visit a new place 2x/wk:
I made this resolution for the same reason that I made the one above. I wanted to try new things and see new places. I didn’t venture out much when I was younger and I am an adventurous person! I love seeing new places and I wanted to explore my city. Unfortunately, the only time I ever want to go anywhere is on the weekend and many places cost money. Basically, I just want to have the freedom to go somewhere if I want, but I don’t really feel like forcing myself to go. Ya know what I mean?
Write 3 blog posts/wk:
This clearly didn’t happen. I really like the idea of writing this much, but I’ll be honest, it’s hard to think of that much content now. Once I get more into the routine of blogging, I think I will write more. I am writing a blog post at least once a week now.
To make this easier, I’m going to write 1 post/wk. I have a lot going on this month, so I think in April, I’ll start blogging more often.
Try a new hobby each month
I picked up the Rubix cube hobby in January, but I didn’t do one in February. I can tell you that right now. I might try to find something for March. I don’t want to spend any money on anything and I don’t think this is really a high priority anymore. I think I’ll just nix this resolution. Maybe this can be for next year.
Alright, well we can see from this post that I have not been very good at keeping my resolutions overall. My question to you is how are you doing with your resolutions? Have you been keeping up with them?
