My parents celebrated their 29th anniversary on the 19th. They are still so happy in love and I sometimes take for granted their wonderful marriage, so I always feel like I have to do something special for them. They’re such an inspiration and if I ever get married, I want to have a marriage like theirs.
I went to Walmart and got a 16″x20″ picture frame and I printed out photos there too. I paid $3 for the photos and $8 for the frame.
Helpful Hint: To make my photos small, I just “collaged” two photos together on my computer to make a 4″x6″ photo. Then I cut them out with scissors instead of paying an extra 50¢ per photo to have small ones.
I had set the pictures down how I liked them so I had an idea of what it would look like. Plus, I wanted to make sure you could see the faces in all of the pictures. It’s helpful to have all of the pictures laid out. I had originally printed out 30 photos, but I only used 18 because of how big they were.
After I arranged them, I didn’t like how blocky it looked, so I cut the edges off of the top to look more heart-like. You can see what I mean in the finished picture.
Helpful Hint: Before you start this step, you might want to take a picture once you’ve arranged the photos so when you take it apart, you can remember where everything was. I know I referred back to the picture many times.
This part was a little tricky. I separated the photos a little bit and glued them down. It was really hard to find the spot for the first one, but I caught on. Some of them I had to rearrange after I glued, but it still worked out.
Here is the finished product! My sister had the idea for all of us (5) kids to sign it, but it was very last minute and not everyone was at the house, so we didn’t. Maybe we can do that later. I just took a permanent marker and wrote on it. They really liked it and I had fun making it.
Thanks for reading all of this! I had a lot of fun making this. So, to end my post, my question for you is: What is the most thoughtful present that anyone has ever gotten you?
