Happy Earth Day!
Hello, everybody! Earth Day was on Saturday, April 22nd. I think it’s important that we take care of our planet throughout the year, but it’s nice to have a special day for it. I think a lot of people take for granted the earth and the air that we breathe. In reality, if we don’t take care of it, we won’t be able to live very well on it. I find being in nature so relaxing and I think a lot of other people think the same. So, we need to take care of it!
I made a video on super simple ways to do your part on taking care of the earth. You can watch it down below.
Perks of the Earth
Like I said earlier, being able to breathe properly is something that I think a lot of people take for granted. On Earth, we have enough oxygen to breathe without any help from a mask or oxygen tank, unless you’re going underwater. It’s really the only place that we can go without the help of advanced technology. It’s really amazing if you think about it.
Compared to other planets, Earth has everything that humans need to live. It has fruits and vegetables that grow for us to eat. There’s water available for us, sure it’s not the best right out of the ocean, but we have a lot of it that we can purify to drink. It’s in the perfect spot regarding the sun and the moon. We’re not too hot that we’re going to burn and we’re not too far away from the sun so we’re freezing (depending on where you are I suppose, you get the idea). It’s almost as if the Earth was created for humans (Thanks, God!).
Earth is extremely diverse. We could never get bored with it. There’s really cold and really hot. We could explore the jungle, ride a camel across the desert, go scuba diving in the ocean, or climb a mountain. So, not only is this planet perfect for us to live in, but it also is interesting. We can be entertained by it, but if we continue littering and polluting it with our garbage, it will get worse and worse. And, we don’t want that to happen!
My question to you is: What is one way that you’ve helped take care of the earth this week?
