Exploring Richmond in the Rain

Hello! It’s been a while, and I miss blogging. I’ve always loved it, but I’ve been distracted by too many things going on in my life. I’ve been wanting to share my fun experience with my friend, Cassondra. She writes her own blog that you can find here. She also does book formatting for if you want to make an ebook, so check her out! We had a blast exploring Richmond. We don’t get to see each other often because of distance and the business of life. However, we finally made time to hang out together!!!

We had a blast exploring Richmond. We don’t get to see each other often because of distance and the busyness of life. However, we finally made time to hang out together! We both like photography and both of us want to get out and explore more. Naturally, we decided that we would take our cameras around Richmond and we also took photos of everything that captured our interest. We were going to spend all day outside, but it started to rain. That meant that unfortunately, we couldn’t be outside for too long.

We did manage to get a couple of pictures outside at the river. Here’s one of the really cool looking bridges that crossed over the canal:

There was another bridge that crossed over the James River and that was really pretty and loud.

In that picture with the bridge, it had already started raining, but I really wanted to get a picture of it. So, we ended up going to Carytown to get something to eat. We ended up going to Jimmy Johns because we wanted something cheap and we didn’t want to wait for too long. Luckily, we were the only customers there!

Afterward, we went to the Byrd Theatre to watch “Beauty and the Beast” which was an AMAZING movie. Beauty and the Beast has always been my favorite Disney movie. Honestly, I was expecting to be disappointed because it wasn’t the original, but I really liked it. They made it their own but didn’t stray too far away from it.

The Byrd always has Mr. Gulledge playing the organ every Saturday night and I had forgotten until we got there that it was the day that he was going to perform! Call me crazy, but I loved every minute of it! It’s really amazing and if you’re ever in the area on a Saturday, I would pop in.

That was pretty much the extent of our adventure for that day, but we’ll go on another one in the near future I’m sure!

My friend, Cassondra, and I explored Richmond. It, unfortunately, started raining, so we had to leave the outdoors earlier. Here's what we did!
