Girl’s Night Sleepover: Photo Shoot Edition

Hello! For those who don’t know, I was raised with 3 brothers until I was 8 1/2. Then my sister was born and that was SO exciting for my little 8-year-old self. Just the fact that mommy was having a baby was exciting, but I had a sister which was even better! Now, we are the best of friends even though we’re 8 1/2 years apart.

Now that I’ve moved out, we don’t see each other as often. We’ll have a sleepover at least once a month just to catch up with each other. And it just so happened that I was house sitting for a couple at my church recently. Everyone that asks me to house sit invites my sister over because they know how close we are. So we had a girl’s night together at the place I was house sitting at.

Sleepover Fun

At every sleepover, no matter the age, you need to eat. Both of us love Cookout and it’s cheap, so we went there of course. It was definitely a win win. Then we went back to the house and watched West Side Story for the first time. I personally didn’t like that movie very much, but at least I can say that I’ve seen it now.

After the movie was done, we went to sleep and slept in. That was so nice for me because I feel like I haven’t slept in for a long time. Anyway, we had planned on having a photoshoot. It was a lot of fun and I wanted to share the photos with you! Some of them turned out pretty well I think.

Photo Shoot Fun

First we had to get ready of course. We got our makeup on and our hair done. We both make great faces in the midst of doing all that. 😄

It just so happens that my sister and I have matching shirts. So naturally, we had to take pictures with them on. That’s how we started our photo shoot!

We then went on to change our outfits a bit, but still matching of course. These are my favorite pictures of us.

THEN, here is where we really got into our photo shoot. We did our makeup all fancy and fixed our hair a little. I realized that my hair doesn’t keep curls very well if they’re made with heat. However, I put my wet hair in a bun and slept on it and it was curly all day, so I don’t know how that worked out. Anyway, we had a lot of fun and laughed more than anything.

That’s pretty much it! After we finished up there, we went to my house for a bit because my roommate had just gotten 2 little kittens which I’ll do a post on soon. Thanks for reading through our fun times! My question for you is: Who is your best friend and are you related to them or more than 8 years apart? Because I can answer yes to both. #sisters4eva

  1. As one of the older brothers, it warms my heart to see my sisters enjoying their time together.
